Many unbelievers say, “why should I read the bible?” There isn’t wisdom in “that allegorical book.” “The bible is of no use to me…”
I typically reply, “Interesting. Which part of the bible do you think is allegory?” “Which part of the bible have you read that seemed goofy to you?”
The vast majority of folks who criticize the bible never read it in the first place. Let me share a secret with you. You can learn a lot about life from the bible! Here are three pieces of scripture that I know will be beneficial for you.
- “The one who follows instruction is on the path to life, but the one who rejects correction goes astray.” (Proverbs 10:17).
- “The one who loves money is never satisfied with money, and whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with income.” (Ecclesiastes 5:10).
- “The person who gathered much did not have too much, and the person who gathered little did not have too little.” (2 Corinthians 8:15).
There are many more life lessons inside the bible. Go see for yourself! Being with God is a gift people. Recommendation: Next time you have the chance to open the bible, open the holy book and read it a bit. You will be amazed with how much you can learn from God. It is all written! 🙂
Thanks be to God.
