COLLEGE PROFESSOR RELEASES EP WITH EMMY AWARD WINNER ABOUT TECHNOLOGY AND DIVERSITY
Cleveland, TN: Dr. Luis Camillo Almeida has released an Extended Play (EP) album titled, “Let’s Do Better” with Emmy Award Winner and multiple times Grammy Nominee, Dr. Jose Valentino Ruiz, containing four tracks relating to modern technology and diversity of thinking.
“It’s time for us to do something about this overuse of technology in our society and diversity in the workforce. We have so many people depressed these days which just can’t happen anymore. Creating this spoken word album is important to me because it is so practical,” says Almeida.
“TechnoModeration, is an obligation, machine replaces man, it’s an abomination… we’re in desperation for human relations, don’t let machines replace homo sapiens…” quoted from the rap in the EP. “It is very difficult for a diverse team leader to get his diverse team members to go for the same goal without taking a shared governance approach…”quoted from a spoken word track in the EP dealing with diversity in the workforce.
“I take my job very seriously. I decided to create this EP to have a good conversation with the public about issues of technology overuse and diversity in our society. I feel that there is a big void there,” says Almeida.
A newspaper columnist known for his provocative stance he calls “TechnoModeration” – the philosophy proposing that people must moderate their use of technology to live a better life and contributor to Lifehack on issues of diversity and leadership, Almeida is more than just technology. He is proud to be a human being who is vocal about what he believes in.
Almeida is inviting Tennesseans to be more aware about the dangers of technology and to be more sensitive about the issues of diversity in leadership in our region and beyond. The EP is currently available for download at iTunes.
