“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7. Our goal in life is to follow God’s instruction and live in Him who grants us all the power, love and a mind to glorify Him and live the good life. Don’t be afraid! Rejoice, instead because the Lord is good.
Challenges will head your way in your adult life. Don’t be afraid. It just happens, you know? It happens to the best of us. It is normal and expected. It’s a part of live as many people would say.
In fact, it is statistically improbable that the alternative will prove to be right. We all face challenges in this world, in one way or another.
Perhaps, there are adults out there who don’t experience challenges in life for some reason. I just don’t know who they are…
This is what I’ve seen in my life.
If a person is wealthy, he can face challenges for being wealthy. Examples of stresses that a wealthy person face include losing money during a business downturn, the possibility of being kidnapped, or assassinated because of their positive financial position. Wealthy friends, don’t fear. God is with you, too. Just remember that.
If a person belongs to the middle class, she faces many challenges, as well. The poor can be jealous of those who aren’t poor which in itself can be challenging to anyone, especially for a middle class employee depending on her job to eat each month. This group of people face many additional challenges as an adult including the inability to pay lower taxes, affordable housing in some places, access to good dental services and health care at an affordable price, among many other ones. With God, there is no need to be afraid, ladies and gents.
If someone is poor, the struggle is for real and is constant. The poor struggles so much in this life. The poor is often stuck in their situation and are the ones who often suffer the most in their adult life. The challenges that they experience are so many! I would say that we have the duty to help them in any capacity we can as members of the body of Christ. Poor people are God’s favorite if they belong to the body of Christ, which many do. Brothers and sisters in the lower cast, God loves you, as well. Stay firm in the faith and don’t fear…
God is good… all the time. From east to west, north to south, black and white or in colors… the Lord is with us forever.
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging” (Psalms 46 1:3).
Never forget that.
