Some of my thoughts for this Friday. Hope you like them as much as I do.
Use technology wisely: and if it makes your life better. If technology starts making your life worse, stop using it immediately. Let me illustrate this point — I am a professional photographer who is constantly capturing and editing stills for profit. Modern photography technology helps me tremendously with capturing great shots, editing my photos, storing and selling them. In fact, it helps me considerably, I must add. There is no question about that. I have learned that when I edit photograph for about an hour or so, my eyes and neck start hurting pretty bad. This is precisely why I don’t work in front of the computer for more than 30 minutes at a time. I came to realize that overuse of technology will make your life worse.
A gentleman does not spread rumors, I mean never: Under no circumstances does a gentleman engage in this kind of behavior because he knows that 10/10 times, these rumors cause hardships on others and eventually the other party finds out about the unfortunate event which can haunt them in the future. Only a boor engages in such behaviors. Schmucks love to talk about others behind their backs because they have nothing better to say or anything important to do. A true gentleman doesn’t put himself in the position of being a vermin. When asked to feed a rumor mill, a gentleman says no without remorse.
Read God’s word: Prayer is God’s secret to doing well in life. Don’t forget to pray. Pray daily. Believe, love God, and pray.” “Not everything that feels good or right is in fact good for you in God’s eyes. We need to life a moral life that puts God first and we second.” “God is a gift — pray continuously. The reward is worth the sacrifice. “f you dream and have faith… God will help you to achieve.” “Don’t be jealous of others because God’s people complement them. Be patient because your time of glory will come.” “Life is a miracle. This former fact, in itself, is worth celebrating the mercy and love of God.” “God takes care of His people by putting extraordinary people in their path. He also humbles us to make us different for our own sake.” “Listen carefully: Nobody is perfect in this life, not even you or me. Only God is perfect.
Elitism is alive and well: Elitism happens in America. It’s all that I’m saying. I think that our societal obsession with equality has made many blind to the obvious class favoritism that we have in this country. To me, elitism is alive and well, even though many deny that it exists in our nation.
Last thoughts: 1) Accidents happen. No matter how cautious we are with our bodies, things happen beyond our control sometimes. I wasn’t negligent hitting my head this time, that’s for sure. 2) Life is short — Do what you love. Man, I got even closer to my wife and kids because of this incident. I went for a photo trip with them and decided to use the trip to rethink our future. Priceless. 3) We are all terminal. Live life to the fullest because time is gift. One day you have time to play with your kids. The next, you hit your head and don’t have time to think about playing with them. It’s life.
