One of the secrets of living a good life is to build a good name. A good name can lead to favor and favor, as written in the Bible, is “better than silver and gold.” Proverbs 22:1. Having a good name is much better than lots of money.
Take for example a “preacher” who owns a couple of jets, live in a big mansion somewhere in the hills of California bit commits tax evasion? Forever will his actions hunt him. I wouldn’t want to be in His shoes when we see God.
Or a careless wealthy businessman who makes a profit by exploiting others for self gain. He or she may have the money but again, his reputation one day will hunt him. It ain’t worth it the trouble, I say.
A good name helps you to be more trustworthy, with getting a job and finding a career, with raising funds… you name it. Be a person of character who takes care of your name with much care
A good name is difficult to build but easy to lose. Flee from egoistical pursuits, careless actions, and questionable behaviors. If something appears too good, be on the alert and remember, there is a way that seems right to a man but it’s end is the way to death.” Proverbs 16:25.
Build a good name. The rest will follow. Including the success that God has planned for you.
“The love of money is the root of all evil.“ 1 Timothy 6:10. Let’s not forget about that, either. You name, not riches, is where you should put your attention to in life, always glorifying God in everything you do.
