The Unpredictable Actions Of The Lord

When we think we know what comes our way, the great Lord displays his might and glory at dawn by surprising the brethren with unexpected events that literally changes their game unannounced.

“However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” — the things God has prepared for those who love him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9.

Fortunate are those who trust the Lord and live their lives with the understanding that only God can really decide what is best for them. No matter how we may think that we control our destiny, our big life steps are simply dictated by the Lord.

Have you noticed that every big change happens after a totally unexpected event? Think of September 11! How about Katrina? These two events have changed much in our culture. It’s easy to be caught in the naive belief that we totally control our destiny because you know… Free will when unplanned events like those just happen at random.

When God moves, we shake. The Lord is wise and will take care of you and me if we surrender and believe Him and His mission. Do the same and in silence… celebrate, be thankful, and obey God. The unpredictable actions of the Lord bring us life. That’s the irony.
