I must admit that my life has been a testimony of the unknown. By faith I live and by hope God sustains me and my family. As I write this blog post, I reflect… what is next?

I have my own desires and wishes, my own free will. But my belief is that only God is the one who knows our unpredicted life events and expectations. I am glad to be working in Alabama in a rural HBCU. It is much better than working in a Christian Cleveland, TN that’s for sure.

Is the Lord orchestrating His majesty by enabling some of us to spread His glory wherever we go? I think so. My professional life moves may have been orchestrated by the Lord, at least this is how I feel. Everyplace I go appears to be the last but they often become just the beginning.

I have been accepted and rejected in academic job searches that I was invited to apply… About 50% of the job offers I received in my career weren’t the primarily jobs I wanted but some universities made me offers while the ones I wanted to work at didn’t.

The day and the hour of being settled, like the day that the Lord will return…. Nobody knows but God. Today, I had Mark Cuban coming as a guest in my MMS 495 class. Never would I have thought that Mark would accept to speak to my students. Amazing! Like the second coming of Christ, only the Lord knows about what is to come!

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” Matthew 24:36.

Everything in God’s time not ours, I say. That’s the lesson I learned in this life. The unknown is life, God is the pilot and we are the passagers. Thank you God for being a shoulder to the many unexpected events that has been happening to us in this life.

“But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” Galatians 5:16. Living in the spirit is the only way to live, I say. The day and the hour nobody knows. only God does!

Oh God, what is next?
