“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Matthew 7:13-14.
Focusing on the self, loving riches, or any other mundane thing, will most definitely lead you to destruction and impede someone from inheriting the kingdom of God. These former often transform themselves into idols under our eyes. Remember: “You shall have no other gods before me.” Exodus 30:3.
The gates of heaven will get narrower if anyone chooses the former over doing the will of the Lord. Be aware! Make God the center of your life, always. “If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it.” Matthew 10:39.
Listen carefully: Vainglory, or the inordinate pride in oneself, is sin, a capital one. Ungodly actions that are rooted in the former is the avenue by which devilish individuals adopt to glorify themselves regardless of whether they claim to be a Christian or not.
Look.,, God saves and blesses those who help His people. Loving money is the root of many evils and certainly an idolatry that will block an army of people from seeing God.
“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows” 1 Timothy 6:10.
Say no to mundane things that deviate from the kingdom of God like idolizing a car or going to a strip club for self pleasure. “Narrow is the gate that leads to heaven.”
Celebrate God and obey his laws. Give yourself a chance to be a part of His kingdom!
