Our Bodies Are The Temple Of the Holy Spirit

In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 , we learn “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. … God created our physical bodies, therefore making it good and precious from the start.” The former makes it clear for us Christians that we must take care of our bodies in this life.

Say no to alcohol, drugs, gluttony, and any activity that has a negative impact in your body physically. “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8. Anytime that a person isn’t sober, the devil is at work against them.

“Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.” Ephesians 5:8. Having a bachelors lifestyle for life is a condemned practice for Christians and Christians to be. Don’t do it… Be careful with making unwise decisions, “Wine is a mocker and beer a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise.” Proverbs 20:1.

Look at what drugs do to your body. It’s ugly, isn’t it? My recommendation? Don’t get even near such practices. You deserve a better life that addition and our God, above all, must always be glorified with our best not worse.

Don’t do it. Drugs are a deadly practice that is de facto quite unwise. Our human actions have consequences, remember that. “Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.” Galatians 6:7.

Allow the Lord to elevate you to His plans. One of the ways to do the former is by taking care of your bodies. It’s what the aloes wants us to do.

“And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lordyour God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God. Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.” Deuteronomy 28.

Say no to one of the capital sins of the holy church — Gluttony. we are to eat to live not live to eat. Why would you like to live in poverty cursing the living God? “ “Be not among winebibbers; among riotous eaters of flesh: For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.” Proverbs 23:20-21. In Proverbs 23:2 we learn that “When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before thee.”

“Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: “The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.” 1 Corinthians 10:7. Why should you destroy yourselves? “Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things.” Philippians 3:9.

“Pu a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony.” Proverbs 23:2. Don’t do it! Be godly and follow the Lord and His commands. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost. We must do what we can to honor God in everything that we do including our own body.
