The Paradoxical Nature of the Christian Faith

I have seen and experienced what I am about to reveal to you about God and the devil. Those who truly serve the Lord experience difficulties in this life that can’t be empirically explained or verified. Things that should work miraculously just don’t. It’s difficulties after difficulties! It is difficult to live for God following His commandments in this fallen world, ladies and gentleman, unless your faith is strong and you are praying constantly.

Serving the devil (or acting in sin) often gives devilish (sinning) people advantages over the Christians in this world. A Christian who chooses evil over good sometimes may gain substantial favors at first but eventually are judged much harsher when they fall especially if they teach others about the world of God. It ain’t worth it.

This is also ironical. The small solid doctrine sounded church who preaches the word of God to its members struggle to make ends meet and pay its bills while the word of faith prosperity false gospel church grants charlatans millions if not billions of dollars in resources every year to deceive many.

The guru spiritist who claims that there is no God and that the concept of God is a flaw idea, much capital he has yet it is a struggle for a Christian worker to provide for his family every month because of the little capital he brings home. The lukewarm Christian gets his rewards in sin but eventually he pays the price for being an anti-Christ in disguise. Remember: The devil claims his own.

Surprised? Don’t be.

God talks about the former in a number of places in the Bible. There is nothing new under the sun, remember from Ecclesiastes 3?

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10.

How about this verse, “More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” Roman’s 5:3-5.

Let’s not forget this one. “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds.” James 1:2 or “Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.” James 3:1

Being a true Christian is tough, very tough. Let me illustrate this to you by explaining what is happening to us right now. We have ordered a Photo Booth from Israel in July to complement our photo business, which is part of our life hood. It is almost November and nothing! Well, until yesterday. Stay tuned.

Seven thousand dollars financed, once delivered to an old address without our approval. There was another attempt but the gate was closed and the truck went back to Cincinatti. In all instances, our tracking number has been faulty, multiple emails and phone calls were sent and made in vain trying to solve this issue in an attempt to receive our asset that we paid July 18th.

It was just more uncertainty, unfulfilled promises and more headaches for me and my family this Photo Booth thing.

Wait! DHL sent a txt message to my wife 3 hours ago from charlotte stating that they were leaving North Carolina. It’s 5:30pm and nothing. Another case of a Christian having to pay a price for being close to the Lord.

My guess? If it comes today, it will come at 8:00pm or after when we least expect. I prayed in my heart and waited. In fact, we just got it after my wife suddenly sees the DHL truck in our complex. Our product wasn’t in the truck!

The poor driver was over for the day, it was 8:15pm. But he felt compelled to get our package which was in fact locally stored. At 9:00pm, he was back with it. My prayers have been answered, thank God.

I wonder how many months would a nasty witch would have to wait to get hers! Not over three months I bet. Being a Christian is tough and I know it. Do you? In God’s time we are to wait and we did.

If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, this inexplicable moments will happen to you as it happened to us. It is only through prayer and obedience that you will beat such events. In God we are to trust.
