In the Bible, we learn the following about satan, as stated quite eloquently in the forehunner Bible commentary, “The great deceiver, more often than not, works under a cover of darkness. As a skilled and experienced hunter, he patiently stalks his prey, invisible to them. His night vision is acute, his senses much sharper than ours. He sees his prey when they do not even know he is there! Even now, he is stalking us. Lifted up in their pride, he and his demons had the gall to hunt God’s throne, but they were soundly routed (Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:16-17; Luke 10:18).
Earthly human Predators, like Satan, are always looking for a way to maneuver their prey to a position of inferiority so they can seize their victim. Once the on-line predator attacks, his goal is to cause pain, very much like satan. How evil. I must add.
Thank God that we have a great Lord who saves those who ask for help. “The LORD is near to all who call upon him, . . . He also hears their cry, and saves them” Psalm 145:18-19.
This past month and a half, I have worked long hours on a report to help parents worldwide to identify how predators communicate with their victims in a variety of smartphone apps, the dark web and how children communicate among themselves as well as and other relevant information related to computer mediated communication.
I am shocked to discover how diabolical on-line predators are and how similar to satan these people actually act. The texting lingo and emoji communication they use is quite disturbing and to a high degree, communicated in codes that most people simply don’t understand.
Being deceitful is a characteristic that on-line predators have in abundance. The same can be said about satan, the adversary and the father of lies. “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” John 8:44.
Listen carefully: Be aware of how your kids are communicating on-line especially with their smartphones. Installing applications like Bark is almost a necessity these days, in my opinion. For more information on this topic, feel free to visit my website and read the Almeida Report yourself.
“Incline Your ear to me, rescue me quickly;
Be to me a rock of strength, a stronghold to save me.” Psalm 31:2. To God be the glory.
