Our God is wonderful

My God, who am I without you? Without any legs I would be without your council. My eyes would go blind without you amazing love! My soul would have been born dead without you divine touch. You are all my reasons. You are all of our reasons.

The older I get, the more I see humanity’s desperation for acquiring wealthy in this perishable world even by hating their brothers and sisters for self gain. in the Bible we read, “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments dependeth the whole law and the prophets.” (Matthew 22: 35-40). We also Lean to “not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.” 1 John 2-15.

Yet, the brethren and unbeliever alike keep doing evil against their neighbors and making this world their full pleasure self-centered playground. Only you and your commands are to be our priorities. The million dollar wealth accumulation by age 40 or the deceitful acts of wolves disguised as sheep are two of the most demonic practices and beliefs of those who don’t follow the way to heaven.

In my 48 years of age, I haven’t seen many people give up material possessions, like their good furniture, for the advancement of the gospel. Adult life has taught me how evil people can be in all the facets of our lives ranging from the people we work with to the family members that God gave us.

It’s sin here. It’s sin there… it’s sin everywhere. And as we know from scripture, “The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:13). Humanity, as always, is seeking its own destruction for the never ending sake of acquiring earthly possessions or the wasteful practice of luxury.

You are our wealth. You are our strength. You are our everything and you alone is what we need. You take care of the Lily’s of the field… you love us more than them! How can humanity be so blind sided, egoistic and self-serving when your promise for us is so clear? Years come and go buy and one thing keeps constant. The evil and unfaithfulness of men and women.

Stop loving a life for others and dedicate your life to the Lord. Put your wishes second to His. He clearly tells us, “Don’t love this world.” So don’t! Follow His commands and in everything you do, give glory to the most high. You were made to glorify God not to be glorified! All is His, never forget that.

Our God is wonderful. Let’s keep that way.
