The Secret of success: A Goal, Purpose and Faith

In the sermon on the mount, Jesus taught us that whatever we ask with a godly purpose, we will receive, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7. Could it be that the secret of success was revealed in the sermon on the mount?

What is success? It is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal, as Dr. Nightingale would put. What is the most important element of success? Having a goal. The second? Ensuring that a person have the courage to pursue that goal instead of living in conformity with what every one is doing.

Your boat must be heading somewhere. If a boat captain has a destination to go and is heading in that direction, the boat gets to the destination 99% of the time. the same can be said about airplane pilots with airplanes. Can you imagine what would happen if both the boat captain and airplane pilot didn’t have an end goal? A destination to go?

You are what you think. if you marry the former with a clear and well defined goal, you will achieve success 99% of the time. All the goal that I set, acted with courage and prayer, and foresaw myself doing it realized.

Failure is often a consequence of not knowing where a person is heading… Not having a solid goal or not having the courage to pursue the goal a person set daily. Familiarity breeds contempt. What is that you want? Priming your mind to whatever goal you set is the secret of success. If you marry that goal with faith, you shall receive.

Include the Lord in your goals, he will enable. That’s the secret of success and only about 5% of the population attain. Be different! Have a destination and focus on going in that direction, in Christ Jesus.
